About Mark R. Miller
Mark R. Miller, Of Counsel to the firm, has practiced continuously for 47 years, focusing exclusively in commercial litigation for corporate and individual clients in state and federal courts. He has first-chaired multiple bench and jury trials to verdict/decision in cases involving claims for breach of contract, interference with prospective business advantage, unjust enrichment, misappropriation of trade secrets, insurance subrogation, recovery on surety bonds, and awards for real estate condemnation. He has obtained orders for injunctive relief, secured arbitration awards, represented creditors in adversary actions in Bankruptcy Court, and argued appeals in both the Minnesota Court of Appeals, and the United State Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. As part of the firm’s commercial collection practice, he has pursued claims and secured judgments against debtors, obtained replevin orders to recover secured property, and engaged in post-judgment discovery leading to the execution and satisfaction of judgments.
Mark received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Minnesota graduating summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Chicago Law School.
He has published articles in the field of commercial litigation, specifically on the role of expert witnesses and when expert testimony is required to establish liability and damages.
He is admitted to the United States Supreme Court, the Minnesota Supreme Court, the United States District Court of the District of Minnesota, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. He has received the Preeminent Peer Review Rating of AV by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory.
